Don't Argue with Eric: a Viking Story
Erik The Red gets banished from Iceland for three years, but only because he has a really terrible lawyer defending him at the Thing... and the fact that he's very guilty. Not to worry, he discovers a new land. It's colder than Iceland, but if he can think of a great name for the country lots of poor farmers are bound to emigrate there. What Erik needs is a name that suggests the place is lovely and green...
The play is suitable for performance by children aged 7-9 (Years 3-4). There is a total of 23 roles (3 F, 2 M). With doubling of roles, the play could be performed by 18 children. The number of roles can be enlarged with the addition of two extra FARMERS.The run-time for the performance is twenty minutes. .
