On the evening of December 16th, 1773, a group of Patriots, some disguised as Mohawk Indians, boarded three cargo ships in Boston harbor. Over the next three hours, they destroyed the contents of 342 chests of tea. So, how could tea be a threat to the liberties of the Thirteen Colonies? Were the Mohawk disguises really so good that even their mothers couldn't recognize them? Surely not.
The script is ideal for readers theater or for performance by children in schools and theaters

The play is suitable for performance by 4th and 5th Graders. The script includes recommendations for music, suggestions for costumes, set arrangement and props required for each scene. There is a total of 21 roles; 4 roles are recommended for acting by girls, 1 role is recommended for performance by a boy. The cast can be enlarged to 27 using the additional roles suggested.
