Drama activities can play a huge role in children's primary education and development. The main requirement when putting on a play or reading a play is that the script has to be FUN!
Spring is a superb time of year to study nature and learn about science. This play explores the changes that happen in nature during spring in a fun manner combined with scientific information. The play allows some pupils to act as fairy folk, whilst others can choose from a wide variety of roles.

Zork and Zindy live on the planet Zargon 5 and the Empress Min has granted them a vacation. They decide to visit Earth for an Easter holiday. Zork and Zindy witness some of the most and least well-known Easter traditions. However, will they be able to abide by the rules for inter-galactic travellers to Earth? Equally importantly, will they remember to bring back something tasty for Empress Min?

SCENE 5
(The Winter Palace, St. Petersburg, Imperial Russia.)
ZINDY: (Approaching Fabergé Egg.) It's so beautiful!
ZORK: Yes, it's a Fabergé Egg made for Tsar Alexander III of Russia to give to his wife.
ZINDY: (Picks up the egg and pretends to bite it.) Ouch!
ZORK: Zindy, why did you do that?
ZINDY: I wanted to eat it so I could see better in the dark.
ZORK: What?
ZINDY: You told me earlier that it was made from 18 carrots!
ZORK: I meant it was made from pure gold, and precious gem stones and enamel.
ZINDY: Oh, sorry.
ZORK: How do you feel?
ZINDY: I don't think I can see any better in the dark.
ZORK: Well, I hope you've learned your lesson. Now there's one more place to go and we need to travel further back in time.
SCENE 6
(Westminster Abbey, England, 1689.)
ZINDY: (Covering nose.) What a smell!
KING: (To audience.) Can you believe this awful custom? I have to wash the feet of poor people as a way of reminding me that I must serve my subjects.
ZORK: Poor him.
THREE PAUPERS: We're waiting!
PAUPER 1: I haven't washed my feet all year!
KING: No, no! I just can't do it. I tell you what: who wants some money instead?
(Three Paupers raise hands quickly.)
KING: (To audience.) I guess handing out Maundy Money will become a new custom. Hope so. Bye!
(Exit King waving.)
ZINDY: I've had a great Easter holiday on Earth.
ZORK: Me too, but it's time to return home to Zargon 5.
