Sandy is a ten year old who believes in the magic of Christmas.  His best friends are Snowflake his dog and Mr Greenfingers the elderly gardener.  He longs to make friends with the orphans next door, but his father doesn’t wish him to do so.  Mr O’Neil, Sandy’s father, has little time for his son and is busy pursuing a banking career.  He certainly doesn’t have time for Christmas. 

However, with the help of Snowflake, Mr Greenfingers, Mr Santa Claus and Miss Kindheart, Mr O’Neil realises how wrong he has been and Sandy and their neighbours can celebrate Christmas all together in the end.
