The play has been written to educate and entertain audiences of all ages about James Cook's first voyage of discovery, 1768-1771.

The play is set in  England, New Zealand and Australia, as well as on the Endeavour; eighteenth century.

Selling buttons all day as an apprentice in a haberdashery just wasn't exciting enough for young James Cook, so he went to sea. In 1768, he was appointed commander of the Endeavour on a voyage of discovery to the Pacific. Over the next three years, James Cook circumnavigated New Zealand, charted the eastern coast of Australia, introduced tattoos to Britain and made his crew eat lots of sauerkraut. Yuk! This play is an amusing and educational seafaring tale about Cook's first voyage.
